Big fish gobbles small fish – Story of Tech acquisitions

Tech business is on a roll. The bigger fish out there are constantly on the look out to devour smaller ones. Last few days have witnessed quite a few of these tech acquisitions.

The most talked about include the acquisition of McAfee by chip giant Intel for a whooping 7.7 billion dollars. The other most recent and noteworthy acquisitions include Google’s buy-out of Like.com, a visual shopping website, and Face-book’s latest acquisition of the social media website Hotpotato.com.

Hotpotato.com is a website that allows its users to ‘check-in’ and share their current location and activities with other users and friends.
